 check the link : https://youtu.be/yQYN3Nzqjpk

By using the colour code

🔹 Resistor Colour Code

A resistor usually has 4 colour bands:( 5 band also present)

BandMeaning
1st bandFirst digit
2nd bandSecond digit
3rd bandMultiplier
4th bandTolerance

Colour → Number Table

ColourNumber
Black0
Brown1
Red2
Orange3
Yellow4
Green5
Blue6
Violet7
Grey8
White9

Example

Resistor bands: Orange – Orange – Brown – Gold

  • Orange = 3

  • Orange = 3

  • Brown = ×10

  • Gold = ±5%

  • silver = ±10%

  • No band = ±20%

Value = 33 × 10 = 330Ω (±5%)

Note: The band numbering is from left to right of resistor, you can seen the area were band's are crowded is the left side
